Catchin' Up

Hello faithful ladybug followers!!!

Hope you all are doing well and are enjoying the defrost that is spring. Although if you're were we are at we haven't had to much of a chance to thaw out. Emms has been a busy gal. We like life a touch on the busy side!

She got fitted for braces a while back, I think I told you that though. Well they came in and we go to see them last Wednesday at PT! They are so cute and little, and covered in LADYBUGS! Unfortunately though we had to send them back to be cut down a little because they made them to tall and didn't want her chunk to get pinched!

Emma is ROCKING her aquatic therapy! WOOOHOOO!!! Can't wait to tell the doc that didn't want to give us the referral that piece of info!! Her therapist, Ms. Patti, said that she never anticipated she would have independent mobility in the water but sure enough she is ALMOST THERE!!!!!!!

She had her MRI on March 14th. She soared with flying colors through the sedation. They only had to stick her once to get an IV started. Which is MUCH different then the 9 times with her last MRI. They used an ultrasound to find her teeny tiny veins. We saw Dr. Stevenson on St. Paddy's Day. We had God on our side and maybe a little luck of the Irish. Her syrinx has gotten smaller! PRAISE GOD, HALLELUJAH, WONDERFUL, MIRACULOUS!!!! This means we don't have a date with the OR. Dr. Stevenson said that means her shunt is doing exactly what it should be doing. We will have a follow up spine MRI in June sometime just to make sure that it is still getting smaller.

Emma will be turning one in less then a week. This means she has been rocking this world for almost 365 glorious days!!! I couldn't be more proud of this little girl. She is my everything. Our plans are to visit the NICU and show those awesome nurses just how far she has come! I'll post pics!!!

We took some St. Paddy's Day pics, why? Because we can!!! :)

Thank you all for your faithful prayers! Please continue them, prayers move mountains (and make syrinxes smaller).

Enjoying a little bite of pancake!

She loves her yogurt!

We were about to go swimming!

What do you mean I have to eat ALL of this?

Her little chunk in her braces. (the thing with wheels is called a gait trainer, its a piece of equipment that helps children who can kind of walk independently, we were just borrowing it for Emma to practice with her braces!)

Can't wait for summer!!!

Isn't my tongue so cute!

Going down the slide for the first time, I promise she enjoyed it way more then she seems to have here!

Enjoying her trike from Santa, and the warmer weather!

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming swimming!

Whats up yo?

Modeling her tutu on her head!

She is our wondergirl, so we had to get her the doll!

A master of her zipzac!!!
