Vacation!

We've had such a busy month and a half. We got to go back to FL! It was a nice get away. A break from the Cincinnati heat and thrust into the FL heat. Emma took her first plane ride and did amazing! She just stared and stared I would love to know what was going on in her mind at that point. 

We had so much fun on the beach, in the ocean, in the pool and just hanging out. 

We were back from Florida for about 8 days and then took off to Washington D.C. Peter had a work trip up there and let us tag along. We drove up there and it was so fun. I love D.C. there is always something to do and see. Emma did pretty well. Emma is a girl who likes her routine and her home. Several times in Florida or D.C. she would ask multiple times to go home. It was sad. But she also had fun. 

Since about mid July Emma had been complaining of her back hurting then our last day in Florida she had a really BAD spasm. It was awful. It lasted about an hour and  resulted in her vomiting. It happened again the next day and that one was about 2 hours long. I called neuro and they were able to squeeze us in for a sedated MRI the following Monday with a follow-up with Dr. Stevenson right after. Emma did great. He was pleased with her imaging said everything from the surgery was just as he expected. We spoke about her spasms and he said that as long as it isn't interfering with her day to day life we will just keep an eye on them. I continuously keep a log of what the spasm was like and how long it lasted. Emma has clinic in the middle of Oct and if her bladder tests show significant change then that is a good indicator that she has tethered cord. We know she has it but isn't really showing us all her cards. So praying the spasms stop and that we don't need another surgery.
