8 Months Old!!!

It came and went in the blink of an eye!! We spent her birthday at MM Clinic! It was all good news. She started her day with a renal ultrasound then we headed off to the parade of doctors! We saw Dr. McMahon first. She said all looked good, and she would FINALLY refer us to aqua therapy. YIPEE!!!!! I'm so excited for what this could do for Emma. Then we saw Dr. V. he said her renal and urodynamics (which she had on Friday) looked GREAT! Said not to change a thing with what we are doing, so that's good. Last but CERTAINLY not least was Dr. O. She was chipper and sweet as always and said Emma looked good! We finished our day with some 8 month pics! She is so precious and time is flying by. I feel like each and every time I blink she's another month older.

We had a few Christmas pics taken,I LOVE THIS PIC by the so talented Sienna Photography.

We went grocery shopping this morning, Emma thought it was much to early to be messing with those shenanigans.

D-Day Anniversary!

Our 1 year anniversary (Nov 12) of diagnosis day came and went. I reflected on that day just a little bit, but had one VERY cute little girl to focus on all day!! I thought I'd have such a hard time on this day, reflecting on the emotions, heartache, and unknown but like I said Emma kept me occupied. She is a constant reminder that our God is much bigger then a diagnosis. That he can pull you from a dark and scary place and make it new and bright and full of lady bugs! She is such a sweet spirit and I'm continually grateful that we are her parents. It certainly always hasn't been easy especially in the beginning but God carried us through it wrapped in his never ending love! Today also happens to be Thursday so we'll do a little TBT (throwback Thursday) action. Enjoy!!!! Thank you all for walking this journey with us! We are so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives! We continue to be blessed by our precious baby girl! This is my all time favorite verse now being a mom, but also being a mom to a baby with SB!!

Psalm 139:13-16
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

AHHHHH the cheeks!!!!!

I could just kiss her feet all day long!

The snowy day she was born!!

More recent!

Trying a sippy cup... she still isn't so sure about this...

We were able to get her a zipzac! I am so excited for her and the endless possibilities this will provide!!!!

Fall Happenings with the Hendrickson's

We've been having a good ol' time this fall!! Everything has become new to Peter and I again as we celebrated Halloween with our sweet girl!! We went to Hallzooween which is a fun time at our zoo!! We got to dress sweet Emma up in her costume and parade her around the zoo and she got to trick or treat a little bit too. It was fun but rather CHILLY. We all stayed warm and had a good time though!!!

We also got to celebrate Halloween. Because of the weather ours was postponed till the day after but Emma wasn't going to go around the neighborhood anyways so we just dressed her up and trick or treated to Gigi's house! She got treated there what would one expect!!

She also turned 7 months old! Man how time flies by no sooner then when I blink we'll be having my baby's 1st birthday!! I'm excited though. I was just telling my mom about how I've LOVED every second of her newborn baby stage but I also am loving this phase. She is developing such a little personality, she laughs, she babbles, she is cutting her second tooth, we think she is beginning to say Dada, much to my dismay, LOL, J/K!!! We are so blessed that God chose us to be her parents, I'm so grateful!

Thank you very much for your continued prayers, they mean so much to Peter and I and our family. We've been so blessed with good health. I ask that you continue your prayers because we all know that prayer works. Please pray for Emma's continued good health, that she doesn't have issues with her shunt, her chiari, or seizures. Also please continue to pray that Peter and I remain vigilant to her health needs and other needs. Thank you again. You all are amazing, and we love you!!!

We're those parents that put their baby in a pumpkin and then take pictures! But they are mighty cute if I do say so myself!!

She was eating green beans! Can't you tell she LOVES them!

Starting to hold her own bottle.
